Tripadvisor Trips up on Best Destinations Slideshow

Recently the site showcased a slideshow of all the top destinations in the world, rather unfortunately, forgetting to add the top destination of the world at present: Cape Town, South Africa.

Cape Town, South Africa (prHWY.com) May 30, 2011 - Tripadvisor is generally a great website to frequent when it comes to all things travel.

Recently the site showcased a slideshow (http://tripwow.tripadvisor.com/tripwow/ta-017a-50b8-9407) of all the top destinations in the world, rather unfortunately, forgetting to add the top destination of the world at present: Cape Town, South Africa.

According to a list (http://www.tripadvisor.com/TCDestinations-cTop25) complied by Tripadvisor, Cape Town has been voted the number one destination to visit, out of 25 destinations around the world.
Being Capetonians, we were extremely proud of the accolade awarded to our beloved city; as the top best destination to visit in the world is not an easy feat to reach.
After many years of growing the Cape Town franchise, cleaning up the inner city districts, and on the whole improving on infrastructure to better accommodate locals and the burgeoning tourists alike, Cape Town is definitely well deserving of the title of being the top best destination in the world.

It is because of this that we found it quite disconcerting that a worldwide and international authority site on travel has merely failed to mention the presence of Cape Town on their top destinations list at all.
In light of this, we have decided to honour our beautiful city, and created our very own slideshow http://www.drivesouthafrica.co.za/blog/travel-site-trips-up/.
