Action Script 3.0 is an object oriented programming language allowing far more control and code reusability when building complex Flash applications. It works a bit differently from Action Script 2.0; it is more suited to the development of Flash applications.
Action Script 3 is Very different it requires a completely new virtual machine to run it. It has a similar syntax to Action Script 2.0 but a different set of APIs for creating objects. Third Edition.
