Warwick, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) July 7, 2011 - Honda's sales are up 5.1% for April 2011 and 9.2% year-to-date compared to 2010

Mercedes-Benz of Warwick, your Boston Mercedes dealer, is pleased with the automaker's April sales. Mercedes-Benz sold 19,157 vehicles in April and 75,152 vehicles from January through April 2011. Sales are up for the month and year-to-date compared to last year.

The sales level for April is up by 5.1% compared to April 2010. The Sprinter and G-Class models had the highest percentage increases. Sprinter vans had an increase of 85.8% and G-Class models had an increase of 29.4%. Mercedes-Benz markets the Freightliner Sprinter Vans in the United States.
With a total of 1115 Sprinter vans and 88 G-Class models sold, they do not mark the highest volume of sold cars. This honor goes to the E-Class with 5,342 units and the C-Class with 5,232 units. This is an increase for April 2011 of 17.9% for the E-Class and 13.1% for C-Class over April 2010.

Year-to-date sales are up 9.2% over 2010. The Sprinter has a 94.3% increase, the highest percentage of all models. A total of 3,764 units were sold through April. G-Class vehicles sales totaled 378 units which is an increase of 41.6% over sales year-to-date through April of 2010. CL-Class models were up 22.5%, SLK-Class models were up 19.2%, and E-Class models were up17.0% for the period January through April 2011 compared to 2010.
