Toyota releases details about the 100 Cars for Good program

Schaumburg, IL (prHWY.com) July 19, 2011 - In May 2011, Toyota began its "100 Cars for Good" program, which awards a new Toyota car to 100 deserving non-profit organizations over the course of 100 days. The 100 selected non-profits are chosen by public vote on the Toyota Facebook page, from a total of 500 non-profits participating in the program. Voting for the 100 Cars for Good program takes place from May 9 through August 16. One winner is selected through a tally of votes via the Toyota Facebook page, where five non-profits are profiled each day. Winners can choose from a variety of Toyota cars, and are challenged to use the cars to "do good" in their community. According to Jim Lentz, president of Toyota Motor Sales USA, "The program was created to provide vehicles to deserving non-profit organizations that are doing good things in their communities. Each of the selected winners is a testament to the outstanding missions of their respective organizations. We congratulate our first 25 winners and wish the remaining finalists in the running the best of luck."
