Los Angeles, CA (prHWY.com) July 26, 2011 - Beginner Swimming Workouts might seem like a lot of work but if you hang in there you will see improvement rapidly. Make sure you have a good coach or mentor to work with or to talk to for your stroke technique and any questions you may have. There are tons of amazing online resources to choose from also.

Here are the most important items:
-Make sure you are in the correct lane during workout. Usually the lanes are split up by speed. The more beginner lanes are more commonly next to the wall.

-Know the rules of swimming. Do you know how to circle swim (swimming counter clockwise in the lane)? Do you know how to be passed? Do you know what to be aware of if you have to stop in the middle of the lane? Ask you coach, these are important for your safety and those around you.

-Don't push yourself past your limit just to keep up. In beginner swimming workouts no one expects you to keep up. They didn't keep up when they started. Go at your own pace. You will be more successful.

-If you feel soreness make sure to tell someone. It might be your technique is off and is causing some problems. If it is, you need to have it corrected as soon as you can in order to prevent further injury. Also, it might just be sore muscles from participating in new workouts.

Hopefully these beginner swimming workouts points help you to be a successful and safe swimmer. Remember, technique is king. Andmost of all, have fun!
