Toyota announces more winners of its "100 Cars for Good" program

Waukegan, IL (prHWY.com) July 27, 2011 - Besides recovering from the negative media exposure over the last couple of years, Toyota has remained dedicated to coming up with new ways to inspire others in helping the community. Consumers shopping for a Corolla in Waukegan will be happy to learn that Toyota announced the next 25 winners of the "Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program." Toyota's "100 Cars for Good" program resembles its "Ideas for Good" program in many ways. Each day, profiles of five nonprofit organizations are shown on Toyota's Facebook page, where voters get a chance to choose a winner to receive a new Toyota vehicle. Corolla shoppers need not worry about the finalists - they get a $1,000 grant for "competing." This process will continue through August 16th, for a total of 100 vehicles.

Organizations considered for the program spanned several categories such as animal welfare, health and safety, human services, and support for veterans. Voters fell in love with the finalists' profiles who shared worthy causes such as helping those with disabilities and providing support for women who are pregnant and homeless. Toyota did too, and was more than happy to help these organizations further accomplish their missions by granting a new vehicle.
