Company-wide efforts help brand earn title

Interbrand is a leader in brand management who releases an annual list of the Best Global Green Brands. In 2011, Toyota came out ahead of all other brands! This marked a jump from the number 11 spot Toyota held in 2010.

In explaining their decision, Interbrand pointed to the best-selling hybrid Toyota Prius. Both the new and used Toyota Prius are great options for the driver looking to save on gas and protect the environment. As for the new Prius, drivers now have more options than ever thanks to the expanding Prius family. Drivers can choose from the 3rd generation Prius as well as the Prius V, Prius C, and Prius plug-in hybrid, which are all coming soon.

Interbrand's recognition went beyond Toyota's selling of the Prius however. They also noted our partnership with Tesla, our company-wide environmental initiatives, and our energy efficiency programs when naming us the "Best Global Green Brand" in 2011.
