Eugene, OR (prHWY.com) September 2, 2010 - Percon Inc. announced it company's debut on November 3, 2009. They plan to target their products at catering to the computing needs of industrial sector and harsh environment industry sector. Percon specializes at not just supplying industrial-grade fixed and vehicle computer products, but also at engineering and manufacturing them. They have collaboration with solution providers (SP's), independent software vendors (ISVs) and systems integrators (SIs) for this purpose.

Robert Hougen is the founder of Percon Inc. has a rich 30 years of experience in manufacturing specialized robust computers, product marketing, electronics design, engineering management and software design. He had also held office as the Vice President at the initial Percon Company and had played a major role in the company achieving an astronomical growth in revenue from $1 million to $30 million. Later when PSC/Datalogic acquired Percon, Mr. Hougen was given prestigious posts and was the Director of Product Management and the Director of Engineering. Mr. Hougen always emphasized that the new Percon planned to carry the tradition set by the old Percon and that the company had always been associated with exceptional quality and customer service and would continue to remain so.

James "Boony" Budniakiewicz has been the co-founder of Percon and looks after the sales and marketing of the company. He has an enviable 25 years of experience in sales and marketing and also has a good track record of setting up successful business ventures. During his stint as a CEO and President of IntelliTrack he had converted that company into a multi million organization. At the time Percon made its debut he was very excited about the revival plans of the company. They were very clear in their strategy; rather than launching various product lines they had their entire focus on only "Rugged vehicle computers" with mobile data terminals. They believed that by doing so they would be able to keep their product technologically superior and deliver better customer service at a good price as mobile data terminals were sturdy and could weather difficult working conditions and vibrations.

He made it a point to specifically point out that the new Percon was not in any way associated with Datalogic Inc and that they were an independent engineering and manufacturing organization.

Percon is planning to debut with the launch of 2 products - Phoenix 104 and Phoenix 104E in the next few days. Simultaneously they are planning the launch of two vehicle computers that would have varying display sizes and latest operating systems. The companies focus is to use its ability to the maximum potential and manufacture the vehicle computers exactly as per the configuration demanded. The aim is to manage to make the VMT at an appropriate size, with desired configuration at a competitive price.
