Medepage holds back the tide of escalating healthcare costs!

Medepage.com is gaining momentum in it's pursuit of the healthcare Holy Grail...to reduce costs. One of the gauges of it's performance is the gaining of another Google page rank point and smashing through the 1 million and (last night ) the 750K.

"It's a pretty remarkable achievement for a website less than 3 months old to attain a Google page rank of 3 and a sub 750K global Alexa rank" said managing director Tony Bullock-Formosa.

"What we are doing is simple, we are bringing down the cost of doing business, enabling the healthcare sector to spend their budget on healthcare and not on our service. In short, we are taking to the market the cost savings that the Internet has promised but not yet delivered".

When asked to describe what medepage is. Tony replied "Medepage is a dedicated healthcare website that has two parts; a member's or healthcare professional's section, that is part social media and part resource centre to network, ask questions and receive support from friends and colleagues, but more than that members can post their resumes, apply for jobs and track their applications. The second section is for clients. These can be healthcare providers or employers who want to promote themselves but it also enables them to post jobs and manage applications".

Medepage is obviously growing fast so I asked Tony where to from here? He said "Our focus to date has been to build a stable platform that enables members and clients to register, post and track jobs. This is changing now as we focus on delivering functions that enables members to interact and form professional groups etc. Next will be promoting our service to our other target countries outside Australia (NZ, UK, Ireland, Canada and USA) whilst we strive to deliver smarter tools".

Even medepage's videos and YouTube account is flying http://www.youtube.com/user/MedePage. According to Tony they have had such a positive response from health professionals and clients regarding their tutorial videos, they are going to expand them to deliver more high quality content on a variety of subjects.
