This summer, the Mercedes brand partnered with James Beard Award winner, Executive Chef Dan Kluger of ABC Kitchen, to go "On the Road" in preparation for a special menu created by Kluger. Ingredients used in the five course menu are inspired by the idea of being on the open road, as Kluger drove to farms within the Hudson River Valley in New York to obtain the required ingredients. Chef Kluger chose ingredients for his five course menu from farmers and purveyors in the Hudson River Valley, and gathered these ingredients in a 2012 Mercedes SLK Roadster in preparation for the event. Chef Kluger was this year's James Beard Award recipient for best new restaurant.
