Concept gives glimpse to the future of automotive industry

The Mercedes Benz F125 concept is designed to give a glimpse at what vehicles will look like in 2025 and we like what we see! The F125 blends hybrid and hydrogen technology and the result is remarkable. With this concept, Mercedes Benz demonstrates its strong belief that the vehicles of the future should look even more sleek, sensuous and desirable, like the F125, regardless of what government safety, emissions and fuel economy regulations are put into place.

The F125 is composed of incredibly light materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum, advanced plastics and rare-earth elements. It has a driving range of 621 miles or more between fill-ups of hydrogen, which is pumped through fuel cells to produce the energy that would turn electric drive motors at each wheel. This would be supplemented by a plug-in hybrid system, with lightweight lithium-sulfur batteries capable of giving the F125 31 miles of purely electric range. There are even semiautonomous telematics systems to help with driving duties such as changing lanes, passing other cars and crawling unassisted through heavy traffic.
