Mumbai, India (prHWY.com) October 12, 2011 - Damadamm is an upcoming romantic comedy that has been directed by Swapna Waghmare. The film has Himesh Reshammiya, Purbi Joshi and Sonal Sehgal in the lead roles. Damadamm is slated for a Diwali release this year on 27th October. Himesh Reshammiya will be seen on screen after a long hiatus. The film was earlier named Ishk Unplugged. Himesh Reshammiya along with Sachin Gupta has created the peppy music for the film. Himesh Reshammiya is the lead singer of the film and the title track of the film, 'Umrao Jaan' is already on its way becoming a raging hit.

Himesh plays the role of Sameer a young man, who has a perfect life except for his over-possessive and constantly nagging girl-friend portrayed by Purbi Joshi. To add to it, he now develops great friendship and attraction with his boss' sister played by Sonal Sehgal. How he manages the two, and come out with flying colours in this test of true love, while balancing his professional life perfectly well is the story of Damadamm. The film promises to a roller coaster ride full of laughter as Sameer tries to juggle his new found attraction and his girl friend. Sonal Sehgal and Purbi Joshi have portrayed their characters very convincingly, which is very eviedent in the recently released trailer of the film.
