The Montessori School of New York International Announces Annual Fundraiser
Each year around Halloween, the Montessori School of New York International holds a fundraiser to benefit UNICEF.

According to UNICEF, over 13 million people are in danger of food insecurity or starvation in the horn of Africa. Many of those at risk are young children. Causes range from drought to political instability to lack of agricultural education and development. The crisis is only deepening as the months go on, and UNICEF is doing all it can to help those at risk receive the help they need.
The Montessori School of New York International teaches students between the ages of 2 and 14. The Montessori School of New York International focuses on teaching students to be active participants in global affairs, reaching across language, cultural and economic barriers to build a stronger and more unified global community. Students learn the basics in art, science and English, but they also have intensive lessons in language and social studies.
The crisis in Africa demonstrates the need for the sort of teaching provided by the Montessori School of New York International. To overcome a crisis of this magnitude, everyone on the planet must get involved and work together. By teaching students about the crisis in Africa, and encouraging them to raise funds to help those in need, the administrators of the Montessori School of New York International are teaching their students to participate in this manner.
The Montessori School of New York International has three campuses in the New York area. All three campuses are participating in the fundraiser, and all would be happy to accept donations. Campuses are located at the following addresses:
Manhattan: 347 East 55th. Street, Sutton Place.
Brooklyn: 105 Eighth Avenue, Park Slope.
Queens: 55-30 Junction Blvd., Rego Park.
