A Novel Antenna for Multi-Standard Multifunction Handsets and Portable Computers

Giza, Egypt (prHWY.com) November 17, 2011 - Amant Antennas Company is pleased to introduce its new breakthrough antenna technology. It is a dual resonant antenna configuration for multi-standard multifunction handsets and portable computers. As explained in the published paper in the microwave joural" A 470 To 960 MHz Resonant Antenna: Covering UHF Mobile TV And CDMA/GSM Without Tuning Circuits", two of our novel wideband antennas can cover all the important wireless applications in portable communication equipment including mobile TV while even four or more conventional antennas are unable to cover all these applications. One of our resonant antennas covers the mobile TV and it is the only mobile TV antenna in the world that does not use matching or tuning circuits. All the available mobile TV antennas must use matching circuits in order to tune them. These matching/tuning circuits have many problems and disadvantages.
On the other hand, our new antennas have very small cross-sectional areas and they are made of a flexible material. Therefore, they can be easily bent and/or folded and shaped in order to fit any available space inside or outside the mobile handset. They can be used as internal, external or partially internal and partially external antennas. More details about our new antennas are published in the Microwave Journal last November. By the way, our CTO is Dr. Sanad who invented the first internal (embedded) antenna for cellular phones when he was the director of antenna engineering for Nokia Mobile Phones.
