Charleston, SC (prHWY.com) November 20, 2011 - Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, SC visited Burke Middle School located in Charleston, SC on November 3rd 2011 for Burke Middle School's career month as part of a continuing series of speakers for different professions. Attorney Evan Guthrie spoke to four different classes of seventh and eighth graders about the legal profession, how to become an attorney, the different areas of law, and how to stand and speak like a lawyer.

Evan Guthrie answered many good questions raised by students and did an activity that students were able to argue a side of a case. Attorney Guthrie presented a case and argued both sides and the students were able to pick a side and get up in front of the class and make additional arguments for their sides. The students came up with creative ways to argue their side and demonstrated how passionate they could be as advocates. The student learned much about the legal profession and what being a lawyer is all about.
