California, CA (prHWY.com) November 30, 2011 - Applied Colors Releases Survey of Car Detailing Customers

Paint touch up system manufacturer Applied Colors of Beaverton, OR has released the results of a survey in which consumers of car detailing were asked about their preferences and buying habits.

The survey audience was found on the BMW message boards m5board.com and e90post.com. Participants answered such questions as:

* How often do you pay for car detailing?
* What do you pay, on average?
* What factors determine your choice of a detailing business?
* Would you buy detailing as a gift?
* What are your highest priorities in a car detail?
* Do you expect your car detailer to have a website?

The goal of the survey was to map the habits and preferences of automotive enthusiasts...a prime customer group for car detailing services. Using the survey as a reference, professional car detailing businesses could then adjust their marketing and pricing for this customer group.

A total of 100 car owners participated in the survey, which was composed of 15 brief multiple choice questions. Applied Colors arranged the answers into color-coded graphs and published the survey on multiple message boards and blogs servicing the automotive appearance industry.
