Stars that are lighted and electric candles are used for lighting in all the Sweden homes. There is a Christmas table laid in all Swedish families on Christmas Eve. The table has all the delicacies made for Christmas. Gifts are distributed among friends and family members.

* Christmas in Finland: Christmas is a special occasion for the Finish people. They start preparing for the festival from the first week of December. Homes and Christmas tree is decorated before the Christmas Eve. Candles are used to decorate the tree with apples, cotton and nuts. The star is usually placed as a topper. On this day, the traditional dish of Christmas Ham is prepared in all Finnish homes.

* Christmas in Mexico: Mexico has many Christmas traditions that differ from other cultures. A small figurine of baby Jesus is placed in their homes at midnight of Christmas day. The Christmas festivities start from December 12 and end on January 6. The group of people goes from one home to other for nine days prior to Christmas Eve just as parents of Jesus went before his birth. This is an age old tradition followed.

* Christmas in Nigeria: The Nigerians celebrate Christmas with great fervor. The homes and back yard of the house is decorated with Christmas trees, Christmas lights and so on. On Christmas Eve, people prepare traditional meal of meat, rice, vegetables, etc. All Nigerians go to the Church on Christmas day. There are sounds of fireworks and display of light fireworks in the streets of Nigeria.
