Eugene Pak Joins Wendel Rosen's Intellectual Property Practice Group
Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP has added Eugene M. Pak as a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group. Pak joins from DLA Piper in San Francisco with more than 15 years of IP and litigation experience.

"Demand for IP counsel from clients requires the expansion of this group," says managing partner Daniel Rapaport. "Our green business and clean tech clients increasingly have IP issues, as do our clients in areas such as food manufacturing, restaurants, wineries and breweries - even real estate and bankruptcy. We are pleased Eugene, whose skills include both transactional and litigation, will help enhance our ability to provide better IP counseling and asset protection."
Pak focuses on intellectual property counseling and disputes and has represented companies in trademark, copyright and other intellectual property matters. He has extensive experience handling IP issues in a range of capacities, including prosecution and advice, litigation, licensing, and advertising law and sweepstakes.
"Wendel Rosen is ideally situated to provide legal and business counsel to emerging growth clients. I believe companies are best served when their intangible assets are addressed in the context of overall business strategy and counseling, and I look forward to working with Wendel Rosen's talented team of attorneys in many different areas, such as employment law, real estate and general litigation," said Pak.
For Wendel Rosen, expansion of the Intellectual Property Practice Group was also a strategic decision, explained Rapaport. "Sitting in the heart of the Green Corridor, with Oakland emerging as a center for technology, new media and startup activity, bringing in a dynamic attorney like Eugene will enable us to better serve the businesses that are literally in our own backyard."
Pak is an active member of the legal community and was previously named as one of the Best Lawyers Under 40 by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), and received the Distinguished Service Award from the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area (AABA). He is also a frequent speaker on intellectual property matters, including on trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and related issues. Pak received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (1993) and his B.A. from the University of Michigan (1989).
