Seabrook, TX (prHWY.com) January 25, 2012 - Incubation Station is an industry-targeted, idea incubator / success accelerator for super cool, high potential companies. The Incubation Station Track 1 is focused on Consumer Packaged Goods, matching Austin's highest caliber talent, mentors, resources and funding with companies who are ready to take their ideas and products to the next level. The 5 selected companies will participate in an intensive, 12-week mentoring program designed to provide access to resources normally beyond the reach of early stage companies. The program is followed by 2 years of mentorship and support.

Incubation Station has chosen Wondercide and 4 other Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies in Austin, offering a depth of specific expertise in retail, distribution logistics, marketing, HR and Organizational Development, Technology and Intellectual Property, Creative - Graphic Design & Branding, Sales, and product development.
Incubation Station brings together a consortium of Austin's notable entrepreneurs, investors and advisors for the purpose of mentoring these super cool, high-potential companies so they can more effectively launch, manufacture, distribute, market and grow their niche brands.

Selection Event was held January 10, 2012 (5-8pm) where winners were announced. 150+ attended. Event held at Abel's on the Lake. Food and Beverages were served. Sherri Wynne announced and Clayton Christopher keynote speaker.

Clayton's last words of advice to the entrepreneurs... "Always surround yourself with people who know more than you do. That's the only way I made it as far as I did, as fast as I did. If you try, you can always find people in Austin willing to help you, so ask for it, and be willing to learn." This is a philosophy Wondercide's Founder and CEO, Stephanie Boone, has practiced since the companies inception in 2009, having more mentors and informal advisors than employees to date.

Stephanie founded Wondercide in an effort to save her dog's life. Luna, her 13 year old Akita-Husky, was always by her side through her 20's and still today with their recent move back to Austin. 3 years ago when Luna had a life threatening reaction to a popular, vet prescribed flea medication, it turned their lives upside down. Stephanie recalls that it lit a fire so intense in her soul, that it fuels her business to this day. Wondercide was founded to help educate consumers about toxic chemical pesticides and to provide safe and effective alternatives for the whole family. Wondercide proudly offers an ever-growing line of natural and organic products for pets, people, and property.
Wondercide was second winner announced. Sherri Wynne spoke about the first time Stephanie went in to "pitch" her business to the mentors at Incubation Station. (Laughing ) "She showed up with this bag full of products sliding them all over the table, and just started telling us why Wondercide is so amazing and important. By the end of it, we were all fighting over who got to take home what product for their dogs or kids or whatever!" Stephanie was affectionately referred to during the event as the "one woman dynamo", a title she doesn't mind trying to live up to.
