Thamel, Nepal (prHWY.com) January 27, 2012 - 27th Jan 2012 - Having watched so many of her own family battle against cancer, Jane Dodd decided that she would follow in the footsteps of the Everest Expeditions and trek to Everest Base Camp to raise funds for research into this dreadful disease in the hope that one day we may find a cure.

The Midlands based Business Executive traded in her high heels for hiking boots and her party wear for paramilitary wear!

Jane commented "I had never done anything like this so I trained really hard. I had some very personal reasons to trek to Everest Base Camp having lost both my mother and father to cancer. I wanted to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Thanks to the help of family and friends I raised over £2000".

"I chose this amazing charity because they save millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Even though I unfortunately lost my parents early, more and more people are beating cancer than ever before thanks to their work." continues Jane.
