Burton upon Trent, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) January 27, 2012 - 27th ,JAN ,2012 :- Private Kilimanjaro, one of the leading operators of Kilimanjaro climbs, has announced the winners of its' online search for the most fun, alternative and interesting charity climb idea to raise fund for charity.

Climbing Kilimanjaro is the most fantastic charity challenge and each year sees fundraisers come up with crazy new ways to make climbing Africa's highest summit even more fun. To encourage more wacky fundraisers Private Kilimanjaro launched a competition to find new vibrant ideas for climbing Kilimanjaro that put a positive new spin on the age old tradition of raising funds for charity.

The worldwide competition was judged by public vote on New Year's Day the four charity fundraisers below were voted as winners:-

1. Keep the Blue Flag Flying (UK) : Four Chelsea supporters, plan to Keep the Blue Flag Flying High and plant it securely on top of Kilimanjaro to raise money for three brilliant charities; Help A Capital Child and Right To Play International, as well as the International Association for Suicide prevention.

2. Pink Peaks (USA) : Pinks Peaks are fundraising for Breast Cancer research. They will be summitting Kilimanjaro completely in pink from head to toe, pink shirts, pink trousers and shorts, pink hair, pink socks, pink nail polish....right down to their underwear!

3. Kili-wo-manjaro (Germany) : Raising funds for Camp VOICE which protects girls in India from early marriage, abuse and child labour, through education. The team will be running a scavenger hunt on Kilimanjaro, leaving energy bars, warm socks, fingerless gloves, a postcard or two - and at the top, leaving a surprise gift!

4. The Great Escape (UK) : The Great Escape plan to re-enact Coldplay's Paradise music video whilst climbing Kilimanjaro dressed as giant elephants! The team will be filmed throughout the climb with the final shot being a herd of elephants dancing on Kilimanjaro summit to raise funds and awareness for The Children of Esperança, an English charity dedicated to helping impoverished children in Brazil.

Jane Deakin, Private Expeditions Managing Director commented "The inspiration behind our Charity Challenge Competition came from the charity climbers that we have helped to achieve their goals this year. These have included a team of BA pilots and crew to men in Savile Row Suits; Man United's support team; crazy climbers dressed as Super Heros and of course the odd "Red Nose" all of whom reached Kilimanjaro's summit raising thousands for charity.
