CHICAGO, January 12, 2012 -- Obscenitease® Apparel (www.obscenitease.com), a leader in counterculture apparel and other specialty products isn't what many believe it to be at first glance. The cliché "don't judge a book by its cover" certainly applies here. Founded in 2008 by Zeno Rossetti, the genesis of the company was not hate of religion, race, non-traditional lifestyles etc. Rather, it was born out of a deep love of faith and a challenge in reconciling scripture. Zeno, many would be surprised to know, lead a life deep in faith. Growing up in a Lutheran home and spreading the word of God for many years Zeno found great comfort in living a life rooted in religion, scripture and Christian community. Becoming heavily involved in his faith during his college years, (yes, Zeno is college educated..(remember "the book and cover thing"), Zeno became involved in Campus Crusade for Christ, with a deep passion for Evangelism and Discipleship. He speaks of his love for taking men that were struggling with faith and helping to enlighten them and team them the ways of Christianity.

As he matured, Zeno tried to reconcile his love of God and his belief in the scriptures with what he perceived as significant contradictions in various teachings found in the Bible. Reaching out to many of his trusted Christian mentors, preachers and confidants, Zeno concluded that the Bible was not infallible, in contained errors and ultimately he was struggling to remain steadfast in his belief in the Word. This conflict and internal struggle came to a head as Zeno tried to reconcile the resurrection accounts as portrayed in each of the gospels. He asked questions, sought counsel, dug deeper and deeper to find acceptable answers to keep him on his journey. It all broke down and Zeno many times describes his journey out of Christianity as "the worst divorce" he's ever had.

Zeno describes this departure and becoming an Apostate an Unbeliever as a "huge loss of community"...and feelings of being "very lonely"...in not being a part of the Christian community any longer, after having this community as part of his life for so many years. The natural evolution of his life then became a search for obvious next life direction and the seeking of other people with like-minded interests. Ultimately Zeno was motivated to create a platform that would be a safe place for people that "are different than what their community says they should be."

This platform started with the Debunking Christianity Blog targeted to those that had lost their faith in religion. However, Zeno has deep empathy and compassion for many beyond this group and continues to reach out, collaborate with, and build a community for many other counterculture groups. The segments of society reached by Obscenitease® Apparel include those that "have alternative sexual lifestyles, don't believe what the masses think, are losing their faith in government, society's systems..."
