Independent Oklahoma City Charity Agency to Donate Hundreds of Stuffed Animals to Local Hospital.

Matthew 25 Project OKC to deliver over 200 stuffed animals to kids in the hospital.

Oklahoma City, OK (prHWY.com) February 1, 2012 - What kid doesn't like a teddy bear? Cute, cuddly stuffed animals are fun for kids of all ages and when you are feeling sad or down, sometimes just giving a big "bear" hug to your favorite stuffed animal makes you feel better somehow.

Matthew 25 Project OKC has teamed with OU Children's Hospital in an initiative to provide 200 hospitalized children with stuffed animals as Valentine's Day gifts. Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK holds approximately 250 beds and on most weeks 150 of those beds are fully occupied, treating kids with everything from broken bones to serious life-threatening illnesses.

With the help of generous supporters, Matthew 25 Project OKC has received over 300 bears and raised over $300 towards funding the effort. Although we realize a stuffed animal will not cure their illness, we hope that those children hospitalized will be touched by our efforts and a smile be placed on their faces.

Matthew 25 Project OKC is the creation of Darian Faulkner and Tamar Criswell-Prather. The idea for this project is that people GET INVOLVED in the lives of those forgotten. Matthew 25 Project OKC is an independent non- charitable organization that partners with social agencies and sponsors charitable initiatives through the means of food banks, toy drives, clothing drives, meal preparation, cash donations, and sponsoring volunteer drives.
