Danube opens new retail showroom in Muscat to help address demands of Oman's emerging property market

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (prHWY.com) February 5, 2012 - Danube Building Materials, a leader in construction, building materials and shop fitting industries, has announced the opening of their 4th new showroom in Muscat, Oman, as part of its continuing move to create stronger market presence and help address the demands of the country's emerging property market. The new showroom was inaugurated by Akbar Mustafa Abdul Reda Sultan, Managing Director, Mustafa Sultan Enterprises in the presence of Danube Founder & Chairman Mr. Rizwan Sajan along with other senior officials of Danube Group. The leading company's ongoing expansion initiative complements a recent report from Ventures, a leading international business research and intelligence firm, showing that Oman's construction industry is expected to key in spends of over USD 27 billion by 2014.

Conveniently located along Ruwi's Honda Road wholesale and retail section for building materials, the new Danube showroom measures at around 45,000 square feet, the newly opened branch showcases the latest collection of luxury sanitaryware, Ceramic tiles, chandeliers, Wallpapers, Lawn & Garden accessories, hardware, home decor & range of other building materials.

The Ventures report states that mixed use, airports and hotel buildings are the three most active sectors in the Sultanate of Oman, with mixed use making up 30 per cent of the total budgets. Oman's construction industry is forecasted to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.8 per cent starting from 2010 to 2014, with the government being projected to spend around USD 10 billion on construction and infrastructure, which are to be completed by 2015.
