Mesa, AZ (prHWY.com) April 26, 2010 - With National Tourism Week fast approaching and travel trends pointing to shorter hauls and shorter stays, the Mesa Convention & Visitors Bureau wants travelers not to forgo their hard-earned vacation days and to know they can afford a break this summer.

"Mesa has always been an affordable vacation hub for travelers across the state heading to the Phoenix area no matter the season," said Mesa Convention & Visitors Bureau President & CEO Robert Brinton referring to the lower rates Mesa boasts when compared to neighboring cities. "When families save on the overall hotel bill, it allows for more spending on nearby attractions and activities and those memorable experiences help define a summer vacation."

Several Mesa hoteliers have partnered with signature summer attraction, Golfland/SunSplash, offering discounted tickets with their low summer room rates. The 20-acre entertainment complex and waterpark boasts an incredible assortment of waterslides and a 450,000 gallon giant Thunder Bay Wavepool. To keep guests cool the park stays open until 11 p.m. and offers evening access with live music. Hotels offering ticket packages include: Quality Inn & Suites, Hilton Phoenix/East Mesa and Best Western Dobson Ranch Inn.

Mesa hotels are also offering up their own summer packaging promoting rates up to 50% off their regular season prices. With stays as low as $69/night at premier properties, travelers can book their summer stays now. A snapshot of deals that can be found at www.VisitMesa.com/Values include:
