Los Angeles, CA (prHWY.com) February 14, 2012 - Epic movies take us on journeys filled with love, pain, war, revenge, and redemption. What is it about traveling to Rome in Gladiator or Scotland in Braveheart, to see a reluctant hero rise to glory against all odds?

This is what we discover in the new epic short film, The Garden - with one unique twist, it's set in 12,000 BC, Africa. The Garden, written and directed by Michael Montgomery, takes us on the journey of a young Prince Edem (Keston John) whose tribe is ravaged by drought and famine. In order to save his family he must turn his back on the Gods and defy his powerful father, Chief Elihu (Darryl Anthony Harper). Edem navigates through a brave new world with the mysterious Avena (Jamie Ann Burke) and brings radical ideas home to his people. Frantz St. Louis, Cleveland Berto, Ron Bush and Quinlan Trumane round out the cast.

Produced by Anthony Hanna, Nick Andrus and Bryan McClure. The Garden is currently filming in Los Angeles. For more information and to view the trailer visit: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1499405751/the-garden-a-creation-story
