Bangladesh - Asia cup 2012(Cricket)
The 2012 Asia Cup, the 11th edition of this tournament, will be held in Bangladesh. The event was supposed to be hosted from 1 March 2012 to 12 March 2012. But Now the tournament will be played from 12 March to 22 March.

China was interested to host the Asia cup at Guangzhgou but it was decided by the Asian Cricket Council that Bangladesh will host the event. It will be the third time Bangladesh will host the event.
The event was supposed to be hosted from 1 March 2012 to 12 March 2012. But it is rescheduled to avoid conflicting with the ODI tri-series in Australia that also includes Sri Lanka and India, which is ending on March 8. Now the tournament will be played from 12 March to 22 March.
In 2010-Asia Cup
The 2010 Asia Cup was the tenth edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament, which was held in Sri Lanka from 15-24 June 2010. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh were taking part in the competition. The final of the 2010 Asia Cup was played on 24 June 2010 in Dambulla between India and Sri Lanka. India defeated Sri Lanka by 81 runs in the final to win a record 5th Asia Cup title. Pakistani captain, Shahid Afridi was declared the man of the tournament for scoring the most 265 runs in the tournament with an average of 88.33 and a strike rate of 164.59.
Dinesh Karthik was declared the Man of the match for his match winning innings of 66 off 84 balls while Pakistan's Shahid Afridi was declared Man of the series for scoring 265 runs in 3 matches during the tournament.
In 2012- Asia Cup
The Asia Cup 2012 tournament is a part of Future Cricket Tour Programs (FTP) prepared by International Cricket Council (ICC). Bangladesh will host this tournament, beginning on March 12, 2012. In Asia Cup 2012 bilateral series, first ODI match would be between Bangladesh - Pakistan on Mar 12, 2012 at 14:30 local time to be played at Shere Bangla National Stadium.
