Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) February 24, 2012 - The holidays might be over for most people but for owner of a local franchise that specializes in moving pods, it's never too early to start planning for next year. Every year James Homer, owner of "Quick Movers" has made a special holiday display in front of his store.

"People like to shop at stores that seem personal", James Homer explains. "Setting up a little Christmas or holiday display in front of my shop shows people that I care and I'm not some run of the mill corporate company. Heck, I'd send Christmas cards to all my customers if I could."

Homer's holiday display obsession started six years ago when he set up a tiny Christmas tree and snow globe with Santa in it, in front of his shop. A customer came in and told him she choose him over the major competitor because of his display. The next year Homer added a personal touch to the display by taping a sign that said 'Happy Holidays from Quick Movers'. That sign brought the company 25 new customers in a span of a month and half. Normal new customer rate is five to eight a month.

"I usually start planning my holiday display in September, but this year I want something bigger, better and one that'll be talked about for years to come", said Homer. "To make it bigger and better I'm starting my planning now so I can come up with a great idea."

James Homer has devised a plan that involves stacking numerous moving pod containers on top of one another to form a Christmas tree display. Each moving pod will be painted green for the pine needles, and brown for the bottom of the tree. It is expected that it could reach heights of 30 to 50 feet when complete. Homer had to purchase the moving pods outright in order to paint them, and is currently filing for city permits to allow a structure this large to be built.

"This is extreme. I estimate that people will be able to see it for miles around," said Homer. "I'm currently trying to figure out how to put lights on it, and what will serve as the star on the top of the tree. This will be something the city is talking about for years to come. People will say 'Remember that year crazy ol' Homer built that 50 foot tree out of moving pods. I'll be a legend!"
