Victor E. Acevedo Marks 12 Years of Helping Families Living on the Edge of Homelessness
There are millions of families living on the edge of homelessness.

Mr. Victor E. Acevedo has recently approached working with needy families for 12 years in a variety of capacities. In 12 years, it is estimated that he has assisted well over 100 families that were on the verge of homeless.
"The need continues to be so great, especially now we are trying to recover from horrible recession. Often the last ones to bounce back are those with limited resources," Mr. Victor E. Acevedo has.
Though, he has earned several prestigious community awards, he remains focused in helping others.
"It has been a pleasure to have the opportunity to serve the community in this manner and be able to do so for long. I have worked with families who are now well beyond recovery and are thriving," Mr. Acevedo added.
Mr. Victor E. Acevedo started working with several organizations, when a couple of years after starting to work as a teacher. He often saw his students coming to class without any food, wearing the same clothes, and needing school supplies. Since the need was so great, he began to work with individual families. Then he started working with non-profits, who had limited funds for his efforts. That is when he started local groups, holding food drives, clothes drives, and even starting his own non-profit group.
"Mr. 'A' has been working with our family for such a long time that we consider him a part of our family now," Miguel said, who is a former student and continues to help Mr. Acevedo in helping others.
"I feel very blessed that I have been able to work with such great people helping others for twelve years now. We can feel good about the work we have done for a minute, and then get back to work!"
