Little Girls and Their Dolls Play Their Way to Long Lasting Friendships
Little girls are notorious for forming long lasting friendships and bonds with stuffed animals and dolls. While most of the bonding is done at home, a new children's activity center in a Cleveland

"My daughter wouldn't go anywhere without her favorite bear", said Jeannine Holiday. "This continued on even into her adult years. She went to college with him, took him to study abroad and even moved out with him. I wanted to capture that love and give other girls and boys a chance to bond with their favorite animals or dolls."
Fun with Furry Friends recently opened up in the Mentor Mall. Mentor is a small suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Fun with Furry Friends offers numerous activities ranging from dance lessons, board game competitions, and craft projects that children can do with their favorite stuffed animal or doll.
Some of the activities offered by Fun with Furry Friends allow children to take part with their stuffed animal or doll by their side, while others allow the child to participate alone while the animal or doll competes against other dolls and animals. Parents can sign children up for events at the beginning of the month, and spots fill up quickly.
"We went from having 15 children taking part in our activities to almost 200 in just two months", said Holiday. "I was amazed at the response that people gave this store."
Fun with Furry Friends keeps profiles of all the children and their animals. This allows them to offer a customized and individual experience every time they enter the store. The activity center also has accessories and clothing children can purchase for their animals and dolls.
"I was afraid my daughter's only friend would be her stuffed pig", said Terri Swagger. "Fun with Furry Friends allows my daughter to bring her stuffed pig, and develop friendships with kids her own age. She also gets to explore new activities and projects. She has a blast."
There are plans to expand Fun with Furry Friends to the Columbus area, and even to the state of Pennsylvania. If a child doesn't have a furry friend, or forgets theirs at home there is nothing to worry about. Fun with Furry Friends keeps very well loved animals on hand for children who have forgotten theirs at home.
"These people really care", said Tom Gallows. "It's why I keep bringing my daughter back for more and more activities and girl games."
