YourWildernessSurvivalGuide.com Launches with Vital Information About the Importance of Being Self-Sufficient
30.3.2012 Wilderness survival website YourWildernessSurvivalGuide.com launches amid concern over humanity's increasing detachment from the natural world.

It is no secret that most people today rely upon shops, supermarkets, electronic conveniences, and other services or products to live comfortably. This trend is understandable, of course. Few people would rather leave their home and collect wood to build a fire, for example, than simply turn up the central heating. And it is much easier to purchase vegetables from a grocery than to grow our own. But is there a limit to such detachment?
'I decided to create a site dedicated to bushcraft,' says YourWildernessSurvivalGuide.com founder Matthew Barbican, when asked why he created the site, 'When I visited a camping spot in Oregon and discovered that very few people even knew how to start a fire without tools. This revelation made me wonder what would happen in America if the national grid closed, and people had to resort to basic survival skills. Would most people even know how to sustain themselves in the wild?' he continues.
In addition to information about bushcraft, YourWildernessSurvivalGuide.com also focuses on preparing for 'worse case scenarios' such as an economic collapse, or even how to survive martial law .It has also has plans to explore the survival tactics of native cultures and how they can be applied to modern-day survival situations.
