New Delhi, India (prHWY.com) April 12, 2012 - A cherishing morning embraced South Delhi. One of the most happening destinations in southern Delhi Select City Mall as usual was jam packed with the shoppers & visitors. All of a sudden the music went bold and ..........OH MY GOD! What is this, a group of 60 - 77 year's ladies walked in and started dancing to the tune of music.

A little later men age group again between late 60's to 80 joined the women. Slowly some more seniors joined this dancing mob and oh my god........oh my god ........ IT WAS A FLASH MOB..........

The country's first all senior flash mob by seniors at Select City Mall Saket, New Delhi, who shown the world there is a life after 55 and you can celebrate it every day.

As the song we will we will rock you went on, more elderly couple trickled in to join the flash mob -- having to rely on walkers did not get in the way for at least two of them. Weak knees and walking sticks were left behind when it comes to dancing on retro numbers like We Will .. We will Rock You, Dancing Queen, Aaj kal tere mere pyar ke charche har jabaan par..!!

Over 50 senior citizens all residents of Ashiana Utsav at Bhiwadi are from different cultures, religions retired from varied professions like army, banking, administration and, many more presented a mesmerising scene at country's first all senior flash mob. After this age when people are not even able to walk, our silver citizens showed some electrifying steps in public, and motto was only one "Celebrating Life"

Life is made up of many different phases. As we grow we experience new things and learn from all the good-bad experiences, so why not treasure some finest moments, we can, said 77 years Ramila Arora a lead dancer to the flash mob

The flash mob has been conceptualized by M&A in association with Select City walk and Senior life.com. to bring in light the lives of those around us who we at times neglect and who themselves are often hesitant to come in light due to various reasons. This is a step taken to make everyone, irrespective of their age, realise the awesomeness of the old age.

Until the time one reaches the old age, he/she has seen and been through a lot and can be considered experienced. But unfortunately that is not how it happens here. "Most of the seniors in our country are of the mind-set that from the moment they reach the retirement age the value of their life starts decreasing. They usually think themselves as a burden over their own children and start waiting for life to end by keeping themselves in oblivion. "

"They fail to realize, how precious these golden years of life are. This is the time when you have so much spare time yet nothing much to do." Added Ms Arora
"Age doesn't (stop us)," 67 years, Ms Saroj Bhasin , a former syndicate bank employee said "Health does, but age doesn't."

"We understand the old age as a birth of the new being plus a bonus of the experience we have gained throughout our life , added 62 years Mahesh Chanana a retired Civil Engineer

The Tyagi Couple who stays at Utsav senior living at, Bhiwadi said, "Having been through all the pains and sufferings of the life due to our work, families, health etc. now is the time when we are independent and free no tensions of the savings, children or future so why not celebrate this life" .

"It should not be considered a wrong time for the single seniors to, maybe, flirt among their friend circles." Concluded Ms Sheela Tyagi with her husband Y K Tyagi, retired from HMT and a REIKI Grand Master.

74 years old Dr Wadhawan a Gynaecologist by profession, added "The motive that we have in mind behind this exercise is that seniors, however old they are, shouldn't refrain themselves from the fun and the activities they used to do when they were younger."

"Flash mob for seniors is one of its kind to be organized anywhere in the world. And this, we came up with the idea because of our crave to do things that are beneficially different. Concluded Mr M P Singh from M & A.

Diabetes, arthritis, heart disease -- nothing dissuaded the dancers from their spot of fun.
