EVRY COURCOURONNES, France (prHWY.com) April 12, 2012 - The dumper is a heavy truck used in the building and careers to transport materials in bulk. Dumpers are characterized by their impressive size and sometimes appear to be giant dimensions. They are sometimes called truck off-road, in Quebec for example, because their size is inappropriate to be driven on the road networks.

Dumpers, these trucks-trailers are found from all different possible sizes such as compact dumpers, called mini dumpers too. Their storage capacity is therefore limited but it can reach three tons.
The articulated Dumper, or off-road truck articulated with their six-wheel-drive, can charge 25 to 40 tons of rubble. Some models go beyond even the 50 tons. Their six wheels allow better maneuverability. Articulated dumpers are adapted for important sites such as earth-moving and road work.

rigid dumpers break records in terms of load capacity. These machines move more than 50 tons of materials in bulk and their capacity may exceed hundreds of tons. Using rigid dumper must take into account some constraints including a suitable work of the land that make the truck move.

The most important manufacturers of heavy machinery

Volvo Construction Equipment has invented the concept of the articulated Dumper. And around the world, Volvo is the leader in the field of transportation by dumpers in the most applications; in careers and in transportation of materials and waste, articulated dumpers Volvo provide execution of your transportation, every day.
If Volvo is a reference for dumpers, Liebherr has built dumpers with standard size for mining work. Many manufacturers of heavy machinery have also their range of rigid or articulated dumpers such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, etc...
