A VISIT TO MODERN MACHINE SHOP-2012

Panipat, India (prHWY.com) April 20, 2012 - In this fast changing era it is very important for an engineer to update itself with the growing demand of latest technologies and modern equipments in the day-to-day life. SGI has already taken initiative to give best exposure of latest technologies and equipments to their students not only in the labs but also through industrial visits to different Industries and exhibitions. Moving towards its commitment the Department of Mechanical engineering of SGI Headed by Mr. Kapil Chopra had organized a visit of their 2nd & 3rd year students to visit and exhibition on "Modern Machine Shop-2012" by INDIAN MACHINE TOOL MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION, (IMTMA) in "India Expo Mart" at Greater Noida.

Modern Machine Shop 2012 was one-stop-shop for engineering SMEs in its Second Edition, was held from 5th April to 8th April 2012. It was the ultimate destination to demonstrate potential and futuristic technologies in the field of metal working machinery, low cost automation, material handling and quality control systems and equipment, together with off-the-shelf production aids, accessories, consumables, software & consultancy to address today's rapidly changing productivity and quality requirements. MMS 2012, a business to business (b2b) exhibition, was aimed to bring about progressive change in job shops that instills quality, efficiency and productivity with upgraded machine and technology through its exhibition.

In this exhibition several new machines and equipments in the field like CAD/CAM, Metal Cutting, Welding, Sheet Metal working etc. along with techniques in Elimination consultancy, Finance, Supply Chain Management and Skill Development etc. were the point of attractions.

The faculty members of Mechanical Department MR. ANIL SHARMA ,MR. ASHISH DAWAR ,MR. MUKESH and MR. RAJESH were accompanied with 40 students. The visit was coordinated by enthusiastic students of Mechanical Engineering Mohammed Abdullah, Yashwant saini, Aditya nath jha, Mohammed shahid, amarth sikka, Dheeraj kumar, Abishek khanna, Sachin taneja, Satish kumar of 2nd Year and Ravinder, Simranjeet, Arvind, Manpreet, Gaurav, Praveen, Anil, Sandeep of 3rd Year to the exhibition held on 7th April 2012.

During the visit, the students and faculty members of SGI came across a large number of latest technologies and machineries displayed by a large number of companies from all over India and across the world. They got a chance to meet experienced persons of different industries who gave them knowledge and guidance about the career opportunities in the Industry.
