Students of SGI Won 3rd Prize in UNIVERSUMM 2012 at Mullana University

Students of SGI participated in a three day National Level Fest-" UNIVERSUMM 2012" was organized by Mullana University, Mullana. Ambala at University campus on April 10th to 12th 2012.

Panipat, India (prHWY.com) April 20, 2012 - Students of SGI participated in a three day National Level Fest-" UNIVERSUMM 2012" was organized by Mullana University, Mullana. Ambala at University campus on April 10th to 12th 2012.

UNIVERSUMM 2012 Maharishi Markandeshwar University -Mullana, Ambala (Haryana) had organized UNIVERSUMM'12 , 3 Days National socio cultural festival from 10-12 April'2012.It had been a panorama of talent and had witnessed gathering from all over India of more than 50 colleges participated in more than 40 events. It reflects the spirit of youth and provides a platform for students to showcase their talent in a variety of events like dance, singing, theatre, fashion parade, Gaming, Sports and many more. The main attractions was the Star Night by a popular Bollywood playback singer Kailash Kher and Battle of Bands coming across the states. The winning participants/teams was awarded with Cash Prizes and excellence certificates. UNIVERSUMM'12 was jam packed with zeal and enthusiasm and a memorable sojourn and a gem in your life experience.

Two teams of SGI had participated in sports competition in Volley-Ball and Badminton under the guidance of faculty members Mr. Hemant Chugh and Anil Sharma. The volley-ball team consisted of students Mr. Manish Sambyal(MBA First Year), Gaurav Tyagi(ECE Third Year), Ujjwal Chaubey(ME Third Year), Mohit Chauhan(ME Third Year), Neeraj Kumar(ME Third Year), Sidharth(ME Second Year), Vivek(EEE Second Year) and Balwant(BBA First Year) and the Badminton Team Consisting of Mr. Ankur Jain(CSE Third Year), Anup Hota(ME Third Year), Ankit Chillar(ME Second Year) and Dheeraj(ME Second Year)

There are several teams of different colleges and Universities including PTU, Kurukshetra University and various affiliated colleges of these Universities. Both the teams of SGI performed well and reached to semifinals in the respective competitions. However the volley-ball team stood third position and awarded with certificates and shield.
The Director of SGI had congratulated the students and faculty for the achievement and motivated them for much better performance in the future.He said that the institute will provide full support and facilities for the preparation of such activities and invite students to come forward and perform in such competitions.

Participating and organizing such events which contribute to better future prospective of students has been key policy of SGI.
