iScrap4Kids Event raises Thousands for St. Jude at ISRI 2012

Scrap Metal Industry Partners gathered for the networking event at ISRI 2012 Expo to help raise money for St. Jude

Las Vegas, NV (prHWY.com) April 25, 2012 - Las Vegas, NV - The Second Annual iScrap4Kids fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, was a successful networking event at the 2012 Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) Convention at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on April 17, 2012.

Together with many industry partners, including the iScrap App, Cronimet USA, Scrap Dragon, Acculoader, Gold Medal Recyclers, ScrapRight, and many others, iScrap 4 Kids event was able to raise thousands of dollars for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Guests were able to enjoy an open bar, appetizers, and have the opportunity to bid on over 60 silent auction items, including industry specific items useful in everyday scrap yards. "It is always great to come out to the Convention each year, but it is even better to be able to help give back to such a worthwhile charity with so many industry professionals here to help," said Tom Buechel, creator of the iScrap App and scrap yard owner.

Some of the items up for auction and won included: a fully-equipped scrap yard kiosk, an iPad downloaded with scrap yard software, full page advertisements in scrap industry publications, and software subscriptions for scrap yard technology. In addition to these industrial items, many travel packages, adventure experiences, sports memorabilia and more were also auctioned off and won.
