Premier Inn appoints Vikram Malhotra as Vice President - Development for South Asia region

Premier Inn, the UK's largest budget hotel chain and part of Whitbread Plc, today announced the appointment of Vikram Malhotra as Vice President - Development for South Asia (India, Sri Lanka and Maldives).

With industry experience of nearly 15 years, Vikram brings on board a solid understanding of Development, client/owner relationships and team management. He has extensive experience in leading large global teams with hands on exposure and has been successful in building strong business functions.

As a Vice President - Development for South Asia , Vikram will be responsible for overall development; setting strategy; finding and screening potential projects; overseeing the analysis of projects' potential; coordinating and managing internal and external resources; structuring business deals and negotiating contracts. His primary role will be to develop and execute a strategic development plan for the expansion of the Premier Inn brand in South Asia. He will operate from the Company's Regional Offices in New Delhi.

Vikram Malhotra has a post graduate diploma from the Oberoi School of Hotel Management and a Masters of Business Administration degree in international hospitality from the Cornell Essec France.With a strong hospitality sector background, He started his professional career in hospitality in 1994 working with the Oberoi Hotel in Bombay, India.
Since then, Vikram has been involved with the opening of two business hotels and has also worked with some of the well established international hotel management companies including the Radisson Hotels and Resorts and ITC Hotels and Resorts. In his last role Vikram was working at KPMG, UAE as Associate Director - Transaction Services, where his core responsibilities included business generation, leading major advisory engagements pertaining to market and financial feasibility, engagement supervision and execution and client relationship development and focused primarily on Hospitality and Real Estate
