Ireland, Ireland (prHWY.com) May 3, 2012 - Boa Vista, Cape Verde, 2007 - Land was acquired by the developer in March 2007 and the plot came with outline planning permission. Full planning permission on the Palm View Resort was granted in 2008 and the build proceeded land clearing followed by infrastructure works in the first quarter of that year. Cranes from the island of Sal and Pria, which is the capital of Cape Verde, were shipped on cargo ferry's that link the islands which create the Archipelago.
Containers which held the materials to build on the island were shipped from the main land surrounding Cape Verde and then ferried to the port of Boa Vista situated in Sal Rei. Materials for main service lines, site boundaries and infrastructure such as timber, steel, and piping are not naturally available on the islands, which meant that meticulous planning for the logistics of transport and delivery had to be factored in to the natural tides of the Atlantic Ocean.

The materials undergo a process for clearance from the Port officials, before they are able to be delivered on site to the workforce which eagerly await the load to commence further with the construction. Within six weeks of materials landing, the Sales Office a non permanent structure was built at the front of the resort with foundations commenced and site boundary complete.

The solid structures of the building called Shell and Core appeared throughout the course of 2010 for Blocks A F and the Hotel Complex. Electric cabling throughout the development first fixing went in at the shell and core stage. The cables run into the electricity power supplied by generators which will provide all the power supply for the Resort. The generators are part supplied by solar power energy. The sewerage system has been designed to run into Palm View's own desalination plant which will be strategically situated underground and to the North East of the Resort.

Ciaran Maguire Group engineers mastered working with the elements of the islands where the foundations for the apartment, hotel and the swimming pool were dug below sea level due to the proximity of the site to the sea shoreline.

Materials procured from Lisbon Italy and Germany arrived on site under the construction programme schedule of the Ciaran Maguire project management team following on in 2011. These included signature Palm View Resort glass facades, Italian Marble tiles for the kitchens and bathrooms in preparation for both external and internal works.

Block A and the Hotel are near completion with first and second fixings including the lifts have been certified and a milestone for the Palm View Resort Developments.have passed their initial tests and been certified with the LTG-1 certificate.

Bespoke kitchens and bathrooms selected from Germany arrived on site first quarter this year in readiness for installation.

Developing in Emerging Markets can suffer from delays with clearance officials, planning authorities and logistics. Ciaran Maguire Group has worked tirelessly with numerous different jurisdictions within Cape Verde to remain on course to complete the first 5 Star Resort on the island of Boa Vista, Cape Verde.
