Pets Party Like Rockstars in Custom-Made Pet Party Supplies

People are always saying that animals are like family members, but when it comes time to celebrate birthdays and weddings, the animals tend to be left out of the celebration.

Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) May 4, 2012 - People are always saying that animals are like family members, but when it comes time to celebrate birthdays and weddings, the animals tend to be left out of the celebration. Denver native and animal lover, Todd Burrows has come up with the perfect solution to helping pets not feel so neglected come party time - custom made animal party supplies.

"The idea came to me at my daughter's birthday party", said Burrows. "My daughter put one of those coned hats on our dog, and he looked miserable. When I saw that I wondered, why doesn't anyone make party supplies for pets? And the whole idea just snowballed."

Burrows who used to work in the party planning industry until the recession teamed up with his wife to create prototypes of the party supplies, which they passed around at parties friends and family members were hosting. The original prototypes of the party supplies included a party hat for dogs, cats, and birds, and costumes and bids for the animals.

"I started making party supplies for the animals I had on hand", said Burrows. "I have 2 cats and a dog, while my neighbor has a bird, so that made for easy product testing. I could just turn around and try it on their heads to see how they reacted. Though, now that I think of it they probably hate me for it."

Todd Burrows' big break came when be brought the pet party hats to a party that was hosted by one of the children's friends. A relative of the friend happened to be product manufacturer for a major pet supply chain, and instantly loved the concept, demanding Burrows bring it before for the product review board instantly.

"I was so nervous presenting my product to the review board", said Burrows. "But it all turned out well in the end. They loved it!"

The pet party supplies are scheduled to hit stores in early July. The current line features products for birds, cats, dogs, and hamsters. However, Burrows plans to extend the line to feature other pets such as iguanas, frogs, lizards, and fish. Early feedback from test groups has been extremely positive.

"I used this product at my daughters 4th birthday party", wrote one female product reviewer, who is quoted as anonymous. "The kids loved the concept of the pets dressing up for the party, and the pets loved that they had something that made them feel comfortable instead of being forced to wear something geared towards humans. It made for a wonderful party that kids, adults and pets enjoyed."
