Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) May 5, 2012 - The Cyclops is a one-eyed creature thought to only exist in old stories told by Greek philosophers. So imagine the surprise that St. Louis eye surgeon, Dr. Yeller received when a giant Cyclops walked into his main office asking for an appointment.

"He could barely fit through the door", said Dr. Yeller. "I told my receptionist that it had to be two kids playing a joke on me, but no this was a real live Cyclops looking for help."

The Cyclops, who is a member of the Broken Arrow tribe in the Rocky Mountains, experienced a detached retina while engaging in a mock battle with a neighboring tribe. Detached retinas are not only extremely painful, but can result in blindness if not treated promptly. Dr. Yeller is a leading surgeon in regards to detached retinas.

"I assume the Cyclops used some sort of search engine or review site to look me up", said Dr. Yeller. "He discovered I was the best of the best, and when you only have one eye you go to the best."

Dr. Yellers immediately performed several x-rays and tests on the Cyclops to determine if their eye was structured similar to humans. It turned out that Cyclops in regards to eye structure is very similar to humans, which made Dr. Yellers' job easier.

"I was worried about there being a difference in structure that would make it difficult for me to perform the task at hand", said Dr. Yellers. "But it turned out the structure is the same as humans and so I was very comfortable with the surgery."

The Cyclops was scheduled for immediate surgery, as the detachment was so extreme that he was at risk of losing his eyesight. Surrounded by his family and fellow tribe members, the Cyclops was taken into the emergency surgery room at the local hospital where he underwent a 4 hour surgical procedure.

"The procedure was a success", said tribe leader Hollow Eye. "We are very excited that nothing serious happened to him, and were very lucky that Dr. Yellers could perform the surgery."

The Cyclops tribe quickly retreated to the slopes of the Rocky Mountains, but not without first leaving a parting gift for Dr. Yellers.

"I came to the office and opened a package sent by the Cyclops tribe", said Dr. Yellers. "It included the head of a goat. Apparently it's some sort of thank you gift. Makes me shudder, but I guess it's their custom so I appreciate the gesture."
