HOSTED PBX 4.0 RELEASED DLS announces the newest updated version of their Hosted PBX system. As of April 16th Hosted PBX systems may be upgraded from version 3.2 to version 4.0.

DLS announces the newest updated version of their Hosted PBX system. As of April 16th Hosted PBX systems may be upgraded from version 3.2 to version 4.0.

The new upgrade brings with it a variety of helpful and powerful new features while addressing user concerns with pervious iterations of the platform.

The first feature DLS clients will notice is significantly upgraded call quality. Calls made from Hosted PBX 4.0 take advantage of clearer, crisper HD-caliber sound quality due to a system-wide adoption of updated codec G.722. Even though the upgrade substantially improves call quality compared with Hosted PBX 3.2, G.722 will not require additional bandwidth upgrade as it was specifically designed to provide a fuller aural spectrum while matching the exact bandwidth requirements of its previous iteration. In response to client desires, DLS configured Hosted PBX 4.0 to now support an expanded line of Grandstream, Polycom and Cisco handsets. Hosted PBX 4.0 not only represents a broader range of devices, the update improves functionality on compatible handsets. Hosted PBX 4.0 now allows the use of background images, web interfaces and automated reboots for an expanded line of handsets. All new handsets now feature configuration support as well.

With the DLS Hosted PBX 4.0 DLS has addressed a variety of additional client needs, including interface compatibility with Mozilla Firefox 11 and higher. Service also offers better music-on-hold handling (including automatic format conversion and format switching to match call conditions), 15 and 45 second timeout options for parked calls, and user-level marketing and notification preferences. Furthermore, calls that go to voicemail will now appear in detailed call reports, improving administrator's ability to monitor and analyze call center user performance.

To make hosted PBX 4.0 even more appealing DLS' update takes care of a number of persistent bugs found in previous versions of the software. Overall, Hosted PBX 4.0 was designed to create a stable unified communications platform on which DLS can continue to expand its VoIP Hosted PBX service to continue to better meet client's needs.
