Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) May 29, 2012 - Most household products, like window cleaners, floor wax, and bleach can be deadly if consumed, but a new company based out of New Jersey is taking the concept of household products in a new direction. Household Eats creates and designs edible household products that people would use on a daily basis.

"While watching a show on people who exhibited weird obsessions and habits, I thought it would be cool to develop a product that allowed people to mimic these people, but not eat the products", said CEO of Household Eats, Andrew Masters. "It made me sick to see these people eating the stuff, but I thought it would be a cool gag gift or prank to pull on people."

Household Eats currently has only one product available - an edible car polish. The car polish can be used to add a sleek, shiny glow to any car, but it can also turn into a non-toxic edible product. The car polish is available in three different flavors, grape, bubble gum and cherry.

"I decided to start with edible car polish", explained Masters. "I got the idea when I saw some guy kissing and making out with a car on TV. I thought it would be sort of fun to have a product that allowed others to shock their friends by doing that, only they won't get the metallic taste in their mouth like that guy did."

Household Eats is planning on unveiling more products in their lineup in the coming months. Products that are in the current testing stages include drinkable window cleaner, floor wax, bubble bath, and soap. Household Eats also plans to extend the flavors that it offers to include some popular favorite flavors.

"We are trying to develop some commonly asked for flavors like vanilla, hazelnut and mocha", said Masters. "It is taking a little getting used to because we have to find the right balance of flavoring and such, but it is definitely in our future."

Household Eats is planning on hosting a booth at the next New Jersey Inventors convention. The New Jersey Inventors convention is where all the up and coming inventors and companies display their products for the public and vendors.

"It is our hope that we can pick up vendors who wish to carry our products", said Masters. "It would be great to see our products in stores, even if it was just in the local area. Imagine all the people pulling pranks that use our products, it's be a hoot!".
