Santa Monica, CA (prHWY.com) May 29, 2012 - If now you have an idea of starting a dog daycare business, I want to share a story of my own with real experiences.

15 years ago, I was the manager in a company and I was really tired with the employer. I hoped that I would get a new job that can help me earn the living and have fun also.

I always loved dogs and I got the idea to start the business on dog daycare. I spent months with dog kennel owners, dog veterianrians... and found the right category for myself. I want to have fun with the pets.

Most of people who own a dog, don't want to leave it home alone when they go for work or holiday. There's a good choice, that is dog daycare.

I started building a business where dogs are free to enjoy with each other at an interesting, safe environment, under the supervision of well trained staff. The dream was coming true. Yet there were some obstacles. My private house was not suitable for a lot fo dogs. So I moved to another plac, built a full facility kennel. I also make announcement to advertise about the business. The trouble was not stoped. The noise and nuisance control make me shouted down and then close the shop.

I spent a few thousand dollars to hire a lawyer. I was on my own way, lead to the valuable lessons. I have seen how badly people behaved with their pets, I assumed everyone trained their dog enough so that it can live easy. The starting time was really terrible. The charges got my lunch, the months full of bills, pains, aches.

The dog grew in two years, I had created in 1998. I have leased a facility in another place and set it to grow my business. I tried to get the list of dogs in the town, especially my neibourgh. They are the potential customers for my busuness. Then I contacted to ran a regular advertisement on the local newspaper. Online advertisement and coupons were published. I became the guest speaker in the church groups and Rotary Club. I got a "dogs and kids together" gig at the elementary schools. In spite of all my effort, my business still grew slowly, while cost of lease, employees and new equipments. The situation even went worse. I went into debt to pay the bills with the thinking I would dig out the whole year or more for the debt. Everythings improved by 2004, I paid down debt and expanded the business.

And now I can pay by myself for my bills, my employees. We break even and sometimes luckily make a little money. And the most important things is that I love my job and have fun with it all day.
