The people who are interested in the art, this is must visiting place for them. It is particularly medieval art. It is founded in 1904, the Bode Museum reopened in 2006 after extensive renovations. It contains a wealth of art and artifacts from the Byzantine and Medieval periods, primarily from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, France and Spain. The Bode Museum was founded in 1904 by Emperor Wilhelm II. The earlier name of this museum was Kaiser Friedrich; in 1956 it was renamed as Bode Museum from its first curator Wilhelm van Bode. The building got damaged during World War II, and its repairing procedure began in the 1950s. The design of museum was made by the head government building office Ernst von Ihne, the style of building is known as Wilhelminian Baroque for Wilhelm II.

Aachen cathedralis a building of great historical, architectural and religious importance. It was referred to as the Kaiser dom of Aachen. It was built by Charlemagne in 805 AD. Aachen Cathedral's dynamic design was highly authoritative on German church architecture. It is one of the oldest churches in Germany and contains a wealth of treasures from the early medieval period. Charlemagne, the first Holy Roman Emperor, began building his Palatine Chapel in 786AD. He ahs also made a UNESCO world Heritage site in 1978; the Palatine Chapel ahs been described as a "masterpiece of Carolingian architecture" the Palatine Chapel was designed by Odo of Metz. He based it on the Byzantine church of San Vitale in Ravenna,Italy.
