Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) May 31, 2012 - Finding parts for an alien ship isn't hard when the ship breaks down on its home planet, but finding parts for a ship when it is over a million light years away from its home planet can be a challenge. A group of five young and inexperienced aliens came upon this challenge.

On the first week of April, five young aliens wide eyed and bald headed set out on an exploration journey to the planet Earth. Their goal was to see how the changes in weather patterns affected the humans on the planet. While hovering over the southern tip of Florida, an important part of the ship's motor gave out, sending the ship crashing into the ocean's water.

"We thought we were doomed", said Zyntha, the ship's captain. "Thanks to our airbag system we were saved from serious injury, but what we were left with was worse. We had to find the missing ship's part."

Discovering they had no way to contact home, and no way to find an intergalactic shipping agency, the aliens started hitting the shopping malls. After looking in hardware stores and electronic stores, the aliens decided to head to the local thrift store.

"While looking for our part at the local hardware store a lady said we should try the local thrift store", said Bubbles, another alien on the ship. "We don't have thrift stores back at home, but she said they collect lots of old stuff and we might have success finding a part there."

The group of five aliens headed to the "Hand Me Downs No More" thrift shop where they browsed the shelves looking for a piece that looked similar to what their engine needed. The group discovered an old television set, and upon taking it apart found a piece that looked just like the one they needed.

"Earth has all these flat screen TVs", explained Bubbles. "Those don't have the part we needed. What we needed was an older TV model that had a part that we could use. We're lucky to have found it and not have to head to some junk yard."

The group of aliens didn't go unnoticed in the southern Florida area. Groups of avid supernatural fans gathered outside the thrift store to catch a glimpse of the aliens as they shopped.

"It was shocking to see them walk into the store", said thrift store owner Jackie Hollows. "But I guess it was good for business. I am just glad they found the part they needed."

The group of aliens fixed the ship in 10 minutes flat and were back flying around space in no time. All thanks to a thrift store part and some creative thinking.
