Westchester County, NY (prHWY.com) May 31, 2012 - When thinking about Children Party Entertainment for Boys and Girls ages 4-12, traditional clowns, magicians, movie characters, and face painting are usually what come to mind. While these activities may be entertaining, they do not address the #1 problem facing today's youth - Obesity. In fact, one in three kids today is considered to be overweight or obese. Athletic Parties has introduced the concept of a Gym Class Party to the Westchester, Fairfield & Rockland County area, which is backed by the 15 years of coaching and teaching experience of Jarrett Richards.

Our Party Packages bring the excitement of a P.E. Class to your next party or event. Our focus is on character building, with a "No Bullying Allowed'' policy. We emphasize team work, sportsmanship, and positive reinforcement. We also address the importance of exercise, stretching, and healthy eating.

Our mission is not only to entertain, but to educate, develop a positive character, and promote physical fitness through play. Research shows that children learn best through play and exploring their environment. Jarrett Richards uses his extensive coaching and teaching experience to create an all-inclusive and cooperative environment for each of the party's participants.

Jarrett Richards, better known as Coach Richards to many in the Westchester County Area, is certified in N.Y.S. Physical Education Pre-K through 12th grade. He has been teaching Physical Education in Westchester County for 15 years, and is happily married with a beautiful wife and three beautiful daughters living in North White Plains.

Coach Richards has the incredible gift of not only being able to manage over 40 energetic kids at one time, but pretty much turning them into members of his fan club after just a short period of time. By working with some of the toughest inner city kids, as well as some of the most gifted and advanced students that Westchester County has to offer, Coach Richards is able to quickly command the respect and admiration of all his party members. Hyperactive kids are able to harness their energy into specific tasks, while less active kids are motivated by Coach Richards' positive reinforcement.

Douglas Gene Thomas, better known as "Silly Pop," is a career Social Worker who has dedicated his life to helping children and struggling families. Pop is not only Coach Richards' assistant, but he is also an advisor and close friend. Pop has been a part of many youth programs Coach Richards has organized; whether it be coaching, volunteering, guiding our youth, or hosting fitness-based parties. With his charming personality, warm heart, and comedic abilities, you are guaranteed plenty of laughs when "Silly Pop" is part of the party. "Silly Pop's" party attendance will be based solely on his availability, as there will be no additional fees for his presence.
