Airport-hotels-guide publish a guide to choosing a Hotel near Heathrow Airport
There is a wide choice of hotels near Heathrow airport. In order to find the right one, there are some simple filters to apply to the options available - location, facilities, price - with mystery or super saver hotels the wild card.

For anyone flying to or from Heathrow and needing place to stay it can be difficult to choose between the hotels available because there are so many options. With over 30 hotels on or just off the airport complex (and more being built) plus a further 20 or so hotels close to the airport offering transfers and / or a hotel plus parking packages, there is a bewildering array of Heathrow Hotels.
The options include five Holiday Inn plus two Express by Holiday Inn hotels, two Sheratons, two Hiltons, two Premier Inns (soon to be three) and two Marriotts, all serving this one airport. How do travellers pick a hotel? There are some simple filters to apply to narrow down the choice and find the right hotel.
Location
One key aspect when choosing a hotel near Heathrow is its location relative to the terminal a passenger is flying to or from. This affects how long it takes to transfer to or from the terminal, which can be vital at peak times as traffic around the airport can almost reach a standstill.
Some hotels are ideally located close to specific terminal, such as the Hilton attached to Terminal 4, or the Sofitel attached to Terminal 5, with several others clustered around each of these terminals. However, there are also a wide range of hotels spread along the Bath Road, many overlooking the runways and all reasonably close to any of Heathrow's terminals. All are also served by the regular transfer bus (called the "Heathrow Hoppa"), making location less of an issue.
Facilities
Because there is so much competition amongst these hotels near Heathrow, there are some great facilities available for both business and leisure travellers. Many of the hotels offer first class leisure amenities including indoor swimming pools, fully equipped gyms, Spa facilities and treatment rooms. Business centres / lounges are common, some have hair dressers and one hotel close to terminals 1 and 3 even has its own 9-hole golf course. Of course there are also budget hotels with limited facilities and really low room rates for those who just want a room with a bed for the night.
Price
Often the most important aspects when booking a Heathrow hotel is the price. Whether choosing a budget hotel - there are a number of budget options near Heathrow, including an Ibis, Travelodge, two Premier Inns, two Express Holiday Inns and an easyHotel - or a 3, 4 or 5 star hotel, the best way to get the best deal is to compare prices.
One of the easiest ways to do this is to use this Heathrow hotels price comparison search. You enter your dates once and compare prices and four low cost suppliers with guaranteed best rates.
Price Part 2: Mystery or Super Saver Deals
At Heathrow there are usually discounted hotel rooms that offer significant savings for flexible travellers - that is for those who don't want to stay at a specific hotel. These deals offer savings of up to 70%, but hotel companies do not provide the specific name of the hotel until after the customer has booked. They do specify the hotel grade and the facilities at the hotel, so travellers know what they are getting, just not the hotel name. These hotel deals are included in the price comparison search above too. Look out for 'mystery' or 'super saver' hotels in the listings.
