Wolf-Gordon Introduces Three New Craft-Inspired Upholstery Textiles

small and medium scale patterns in solution dyed nylon make their debut at HD Expo

Long Island City, NY (prHWY.com) June 11, 2012 - New York, NY - To follow up on the introduction of its "hardworking, diverse and full of character" Metropolitan catalog, Wolf-Gordon is debuting three new items in 100% solution dyed nylon. Flatiron, Grand Central and Grand Army Plaza are all high-performing upholstery textiles, exceeding 100,000 double rubs on the Wyzenbeek test. Inspired by building crafts, weaving and embroidery, they are destined to become popular standards on all types of commercial furniture from hospitality to healthcare. Flatiron, Grand Central and Grand Army Plaza will be on view during NeoCon® in the Wolf-Gordon showroom at the Merchandise Mart, Chicago, Suite 10-161.

*Flatiron is a small scale geometric composed of circle and oval shapes that convey a perforated metal look. This highly usable pattern has been colored in a palette of clean industrials, bright orange, blue and black-on-black. Flatiron is also a chameleon that resembles reptilian skin when colored in tropical greens, of which there are two!

*Grand Central is a small-scale digital stripe that has classic menswear appeal. These saturated, multicolored blends always look modern--never tweedy--in a generous selection of blues, greens, purples and browns. Brighter gold and red colorways offer nuanced warmth.

*Grand Army Plaza is this update's tri-colored homage to embroidered looks. Horizontal float yarn "stitches" act as background to oval medallions of irregular shape for an overall handmade impression. We selected a bright palette that mutates to resemble American Southwest, Eastern European, Near Eastern and African origins.

All three items exceed ACT standards for contract textiles and are finished with GreenShield, a spill and stain-resistant nanotechnology that is third party certified by SCS for low VOC's.
