SAS announces participation as Gold Sponsor for ACN 100 Forum 2012

Analytics guru and SAS Director Mark Torr to facilitate discussion on how high performance analytics can transform today's companies and organizations

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (prHWY.com) June 11, 2012 - SAS, the leading provider of business analytics software and services, has revealed its participation as the Gold Sponsor for this year's edition of the ACN 100 Forum 2012, which will be held on June 12, 2012 at the Grosvenor House, Dubai. The event aims to gather 150 Middle East IT leaders from across the region, CIO, CTOs and IT Directors from the Middle East's leading companies and organizations and act as a strategic platform to discuss some of the most pressing IT challenges of the day like cloud computing, big data and bring your own device. During the conference, Mark Torr, Director of Technology-Global Information Management and Analytics Center of Excellence, SAS, will facilitate one of the workshops entitled, 'Transforming the organization with high performance analytics.'

Torr has over 15 years of experience in the software industry and has worked with many of SAS customers coming from different parts of the globe. With his current posting as Director for the SAS Analytics Centre of Excellence, he is responsible for the technology of SAS analytics, reporting, data management and high-performance analytics products in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. Torr is also a TOGAF certified enterprise architect.
