ARRA Executive Director Yafea Eid Al Faraj inspects construction progress of 'Ajman Uptown' project

Completion of 200 first stage units of the 600 phase one villas in September 2012 reflects fast track progress of AED 2.2 billion 1,504 villa project

Ajman, United Arab Emirates (prHWY.com) June 12, 2012 - Sweet Homes Holdings (SHH), a leading UAE-based developer and multi-service provider to the real estate sector, has revealed that a team from ARRA lead by Yafea Eid Al Faraj, Executive Director of the Ajman Real Estate Regulatory Agency (ARRA), recently visited and checked on the construction progress of the AED 2.2 billion 'Ajman Uptown' project. The master community development is the company's only private villa project in the emirate. Present during the Executive Director's visit were Sweet Homes officials headed by its Chairman, Abdul Sattar Dero; Fahad Sattar Dero, Managing Director and CEO; Sarwat Husain, Group General Manager; Mohammed Shubair, General manager technical; Shahid Javed, Financial Controller; Ruksana Sultana, Project Manager and Yasser Arafat, Construction Manager. Also present were the team of engineers that included Engr. Awny Abu Zayed, Technical Manager; Engr. Adnan Saffarini; Engr. Saleh Hasnain and representatives of Ajman Bank, the Escrow Account custodian of Ajman Uptown.

Executive Director Yafea Eid Al Faraj was accompanied by senior ARRA officials that included Khaldoun Abbas, Escrow Account Officer; Mohammad Jamal, Legal Advisor; Nasreen Al Sawan, Head of Engineering Department and Nael Al Amir, Media and Public Relations Officer. The ARRA delegation was given a full briefing on the current progress of the Ajman Uptown project, informing him that approximately 200 units are on fast track for completion in September, 2012. According to the master developer, the completion of 200 first stage units out of the 600 phase one villas reflects the company's move to fast track development on the AED 2.2 billion 1,504 villa project. Sweet Homes has also assured ARRA that infrastructure like electricity and water utilities will be completed as per priorities. The project will also see the handover of one residential building and the opening of commercial outlets like a supermarket to help attract more residents to invest in the development. The inspection of ARRA's top official is reflective of the Ajman government's continuing support towards the master development initiative.

Located right in the heart of Ajman, the Ajman Uptown project measures at four million square feet and will offer two, three and four-bedroom townhouses and exclusively designed five-bedroom VIP villas. The project takes on an overall concept and design based on classic French architecture and prominently showcases an 'L' Art De Vivre' theme. The project is located at the tip of the intersection that is very close to leading industrial areas like the Al Hamriya Free Zone, the Ajman Industrial Area and the Sharjah Investment Park. The master development will house a school, a healthcare centre, a fire fighting station, two mosques, a health and recreation club, a swimming pool, markets, shopping mall, hotel and hotel apartments, and convenient and spacious parks apart from the luxury apartments, boutique offices, G + 4 commercial and residential buildings and a one kilometre shopping walkway.
